Gujarat Rajya Sabha Election Results: This is what Ahmed Patel tweeted after winning seat

Gandhinagar: Congress nominee Ahmed Patel on Wednesday won Rajya Sabha Elections from Gujarat.

In his first reaction after winning the seat, Patel tweeted: 'Satyamev Jayate' (Truth alone triumphs).

“This is not just my victory. It is a defeat of the most blatant use of money power,muscle power and abuse of state machinery,” he said in another tweet.

He further thanked each and every MLA who voted for him “despite unprecedented intimidation & pressure from BJP. They voted for an inclusive India”.

Ahmed Patel earlier welcomed the Election Commission's order rejecting the votes of two rebel Congress MLAs.
