World T20: Mahendra Singh Dhoni's impact will be key in India's decider against Australia

New Delhi: India cricket team skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be the cynosure off all eyes when India take on Australia in a Super 10, Group 2 encounter in Mohali on Sunday.

The tie is like a virtual quarter-final for India and the skipper's role will be huge in getting the best out of his team. Dhoni's presence of mind, decision making and application was laudable against Bangladesh, where India won a thriller of the last ball.

The way Dhoni took the game to the last over and gave his vote of confidence to young Hardik Pandya, showed a man's strong character in trusting the youth and helping them gain a lot from pressure situations.

The clash against Australia is huge in terms of everything and Steve Smith's side will be out to spoil India's outing. It will be a test of character between the bat and ball and that's where Dhoni's decision in rotating his bowlers well alongside his own role as a finisher in batting will be pivotal.

Dhoni has been India's premier batsman in the shorter versions of the game for quite some time now and his electric keeping skills makes him the best in business behind the stump.

Dhoni's last ball run-out heroics against Bangladesh to win the game for India, was a magical affair. That's what experience does to you.

The senior player will be confident after India's 3-0 drubbing of the Aussies earlier this year, but although this is a different ball game, India will be up for the challenge.
