India's squad for the T20 World Cup will be picked soon by the Ajit Agarkar-led selection panel. There are many contenders for different spots in what will be a 15-man squad. One of the talking points has been the wicketkeeper's slot. There are six wicketkeepers vying for the spot. Check their names in this gallery.

1. Ishan Kishan

1. Ishan Kishan

Ishan Kishan is in the race to earn a spot in T20 World Cup squad but with just 192 runs in 8 matches of IPL so far, he has not done himself a huge favour. Kishan is the wicketkeeper in the list who has played most T20Is since the end of the T20 World Cup 2022 but his numbers are not great. He has scored 253 runs in 13 matches at an average of 19.46 and strike rate of 111.94. (Source: ANI)

2. Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant has returned to cricket and is looking good. In 8 IPL matches so far for Delhi Capitals, a franchise that he also leads in IPL, Pant has scored 254 runs at an average of 36.28 with strike rate of 150.29. He has effected 11 dismissals as well. Pant has two half-centuries to his name and he has not looked more fitter than today. Pant has played some very Pant-like shots in this IPL which is a reflection of the fact that he has quit his aggression. (Source: ANI)

3. Sanju Samson

Harbhajan Singh wants Sanju Samson in the T20 World Cup squad and there is a reason to it. The Rajasthan Royals captain has smashed 314 runs in 8 matches at an average of 62.8 with a strike rate of 152. He has effected 7 dismissals as keeper. Sanju has 3 fifties in 8 matches and has played many match-winning knocks already. His performance is certainly getting noticed by the selectors. (Source: ANI)

4. Jitesh Sharma

Punjab Kings wicketkeeper is always a part of India's T20I squad. But going to the World Cup is not a surety for this dynamic hitter. Jitesh has not done as well as he would have thought in this IPL. Jitesh has played in 8 matches, scoring just 128 with a poor average of 16 and strike rate of 125.49. Jitesh has done 10 dismissals as keeper. Jitesh has done well in India colours but his poor IPL show has put a roadblock in his pursuit to get selected for World Cup. Will selectors still put faith in him? (Source: ANI)

5. Dinesh Karthik

5. Dinesh Karthik

A month back, this list would have been just 5 names long. Bu Dinesh Karthik has yet again raised his game in the T20 World Cup year. Even in 2022, Karthik made it to the squad from nowhere after a terrific IPL show. He is doing the same with some outstanding innings and powerhitting as a finisher. Karthik has revealed his wish to play for India again and it will be interesting to see what happens if he continues to have a great IPL. (Source: ANI)

6. KL Rahul

KL Rahul is striking at 143 in this IPL and has close to 300 runs in 7 matches. He has not played for India in T20Is since the last World Cup but that should not trouble the selectors. Rahul is experienced and Indian selectors have always looked for experience. That may work in favour of te LSG captain. (Source: ANI)
