LS Polls 2024 Live: Mumbai Fails To Touch 50% Voter Turnout Mark In Phase 5

Mumbai failed to cross 50 per cent voter turnout till 7 pm. Mumbai North recorded a turnout of 46.91 per cent; Mumbai North Central saw a turnout of 47.46 per cent, Mumbai North East saw a turnout of 48.67 per cent per cent, Mumbai North West recorded a turnout of 49.79 per cent. Mumbai South had the lowest turnout in the city with 44.63 per cent recorded till 7 pm. Mumbai South Central saw a turnout of 48.26 per cent.

According to the poll body, in the 5th phase of Lok Sabha Polls 2024 West Bengal recorded the highest voter turnout (73 per cent), followed by Ladakh (67.15 per cent), Jharkhand (63.00 per cent), Odisha (60.72 per cent), Uttar Pradesh (57.79 per cent), Jammu and Kashmir (54.67 per cent), Bihar (52.60 per cent) and Maharashtra (49.01 per cent).

The fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections for 49 parliamentary constituencies is going across the nation. West Bengal recorded the highest voting with 73.00%, while, Bihar recorded  52.60% voting, Jammu and Kashmir 54.49%, Jharkhand  63.00%, Ladakh 67.15% Maharashtra 48.88%, Odisha 60.72% and Uttar Pradesh 57.79%.

Lok Sabha Election 2024 Live: BJP Leader Amit Shah Slams Rahul Gandhi

Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the public rally at Haryana's Jhajjar on Monday, he slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his Bharat Jodo Yatra and said that by the election ends it will be 'Congress Dhundo Yatra'. 

 "Congress spreading lies that if BJP gets the majority, the reservation will be scrapped. Till the time BJP is in Parliament no one will be able to touch the reservation...Rahul Gandhi at the start of this election started the Bharat Jodo Yatra and by the election ends it will be 'Congress Dhundo Yatra'. Congress will not be visible with the help of binoculars," Shah said.

The fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections for 49 parliamentary constituencies is going across the nation. Around 47.53% voter turnout has been recorded till 3 pm in phase 5 polling. Bihar recorded 45.33% voting, Jammu and Kashmir 44.90%, Jharkhand 53.90 %, Ladakh 61.26%, Maharashtra 38.77 %, Odisha 48.95%, Uttar Pradesh 47.55 % and West Bengal 62.72%.

Lok Sabha Phase 5 Polling Live: Over 36% Turnout Recorded Till 1PM

Around 36.73% voter turnout has been recorded till 1pm in phase 5 polling. Bihar recorded 34.62% voting, Jammu and Kashmir 34.79%, Jharkhand 41.89%, Ladakh 52.02%, Maharashtra 27.78%, Odisha 35.31%, Uttar Pradesh 39.55% and West Bengal 48.41%.
